I love those Nightrunner books.

Can I marry Alec of Lynn Flewelling's Nightrunner series?  Please?  He has to be the cutest and yet the awesomest person ever.

Something about him and Seregil makes me want to have their babies.  And they can still be together; I don't mind.  I just love the characters...love them all.

10 Things From This Week

  1. I got accepted into U of M.
  2. I got rejected from UCSF. Well it was a field trip after all...
  3. I got a rejection letter from Stanford. Oh well, more time to hang out in California with my friend (I try not to do names of non-famous people here - so not trying to offend anyone)!
  4. I got flights and shuttle stuff done for Atlanta (Emory).
  5. I finally grew some bacteria that expressed my protein - well they look yellow at least. Woot for a purification next week.
  6. I read lots of articles on my enzyme, dihydroorotate dehydrogenase. Only 5 billion articles left to read...
  7. Mario won matches and Novak lost to Gilles Simon and is probably still sick and why is he not taking a break? Ana did.
  8. I played Eternal Sonata. Beating an optional boss = getting cheap item and kicking major ass for the rest of the game. And I still haven't figured out how to block correctly, whatever...
  9. I played piano three times this week! It's pretty hard to practice when you are fighting with others for pianos.
  10. Michigan basketball beat Iowa and they have a 2-game winning streak! YAY!

Pim-Pim...

I'm so sad to hear that "Pim-Pim", or Joachim Johansson, decided to retire. I only got to see him play twice, or 2 matches at the U.S. Open against Andy Roddick and Lleyton Hewitt in 2004. And due to injuries just accumulating... What is he going to do now? I wish him the best (even if he never comes back to tennis).

In other news, I'm still on east coast time over in San Francisco. I had 3 interviews yesterday, but next week I will have 6. I was tired after 3, wonder how the hell I'll feel after 6...
